I’m excited to let you know that HerBusiness has been nominated for the 2012 City of Sydney Business Awards in the Education and Training Category. To qualify as a finalist, we need to be one of the top 10 in the public vote.
I’m writing to ask if you’d be willing to vote for us.
We believe the more education businesswomen have access to, the more likely they are to succeed in business. And, creating successful female entrepreneurs is part of our charter and passion.
We’re passionate about learning.
As you may know, education is my passion and for the last 17 years (yes, that long), my team and I have been channeling that passion through providing education and training opportunities for women through HerBusiness to women across Australia.
Our vision is to empower women to reach their full potential in business.
The ABN shares hundreds of valuable business resources and business training opportunities to women business owners through our community outreach program. These resources are often provided at no cost.
Technology allows us to reach you, on your terms.
While we’ve been recognised as a leader in the area of business education for women (we won this category last year), we’re committed to continuing to identify and use the latest online technology and new media to provide non-industry specific online business training and mentoring for women regardless of stage of business, experience or location. I know you’ve experienced some of what we do in the area of education and training, but here’s a bit of an overview:
- Monthly training webinars (many free) with business leaders and experts
- Mentoring – The comprehensive MentorNet mentoring program matches women with experienced mentors
- Podcasts – Three podcasts (available free on our site or through iTunes) feature interviews with inspiring women, authors and easy to follow tips on important business topics
- Articles – we have over 800 articles in our library on topics from success to small business marketing
- Blog – The herBusiness blog (which is authored by the talented women of our community) publishes relevant and timely business tips almost daily
