Social media is a valuable tool for any business. Melinda is a Google Partner, as well as a Premium Member of Australian Businesswomen’s Network, and is passionate about helping small businesses get more bang for their online marketing buck. Melinda believes that Google+ combines all the features of other social media platforms, but with more added benefits. For example, it can help your business increase it’s traffic from Google. Google+ is great for connecting with people with similar interests and building your network. As Melinda says, the more time you spend engaging on Google+, the more value you get out of it. Melinda Samson’s interview is full of useful tips on how to create a great profile on Google+. One great tip is to not be a “blue head” and to use a recognisable picture on your profile, as this will make you seem more engaged and a real person! In this interview she explains the difference between setting up a personal profile versus setting up a business page. Melinda’s biggest piece of advice on using Google+ is to understand how it works, spend time there, and be social.
