This time has to be a balance of survival and recovery.
You need to be ready to push the GO button when the world returns to “normal”….whatever that is!!
- Remind yourself of your why/your purpose/that one thing that is your point of difference and for what you will be famous. Now is not the time to ignore your brand message.
- Get super clear on your target audience – Do you really know them? Not just demographics, but what is important to them, what they love about your brand and love about competitive brands, where do they hang out, what feedback can you get from them. This is a great time to make contact and talk to them!
- What new ways of reaching your audience have you discovered over this time? How can this turn into a new channel or opportunity for you? Maybe a new channel to market, maybe cutting unnecessary expense out of business, maybe a new product offering or maybe a narrower but more single-minded focus?
- What stuff are you doing that is not consistent with your message? What needs to be implemented structurally, operationally, strategically and financially to make sure your whole business is aligned. What an opportunity!
