Stuck in the ‘busyness’ and can’t step into the CEO role where you truly belong?
Αhhrgh. It can feel like your business is running YOU.
The ‘Founder’s Trap’ happens when you can’t step away from daily operations. You’re ‘in the weeds’ with no space to focus on the big picture.
Here’s how to shift gears.
Delegate:
Identify tasks only you can do; delegate the rest.
I know this can be tough at first. Just start. What task or role can you let go of today?
Create Processes:
Standardise operations to empower your team.
Until you document your processes, you can’t fully leverage a task and get a predictable outcome from someone else.
Focus:
Work ON your business, not just IN it.
Schedule time to work ON your business. Join a mastermind, mentoring or a business network like HerBusiness to help you create the space to do the strategic work that will GROW your business.
Self-Care:
Stepping back allows for personal and business growth.
This can look like time off, exercise, meditation, personal development seminars, learning…, or whatever helps refuel you.
Reinvest:
Use the saved time to focus on scaling and innovation.
It can be easy to squander extra time when you have built a team, systemised and leveraged. Stepping into SCALING takes a mindset shift. And it can be a little scary thinking about BIG GROWTH.
Getting free of the Founder’s Trap is one of my favourite things to work with women to achieve.
Your business CAN run without micromanaging or overwhelm and burnout.
But first, you need clarity on where to focus if it’s not on the small details. That takes a clear vision of your role and direction.
You’ll watch your business soar when you elevate your role and “untrap” yourself.
I’d love to help.
Here’s to doing what you love,
Suzi
