Aliza Sherman is a Web pioneer, mobile strategist, and social media innovator and commentator. She speaks around the world and writes about Internet, social media, and mobile-related topics. In 1995, she founded the first woman-owned, full-service Internet company, Cybergrrl, Inc. and the first global Internet networking organisation for women, Webgrrls International. In this interview, conducted at South By South West, we discuss why she’s excited about ‘social mobile’ . We look at how and why our phones are the way that we connect to our communities, remain productive and manage our lives. And, Aliza explains that as we get busier we may declutter our lives from some apps and tools, we’ll take our communities, fans, followers with us. We also look at some tips for navigating large conferences and why Aliza chooses to enjoy the spaces in-between keynotes and sessions to discover connections, build relationships and walk away with a lot more than business cards.
