Women all over Australia are looking to women’s business networks to find motivation and support. What motivates you to be the best you can be? Who supports you through business struggles and hard decisions? Who understands you as a businesswoman? It turns out that other businesswomen can be the greatest of supports. Women’s networking groups are an important networking tool and support tool for businesswomen.
While giving out your business card at a job fair may help you meet new people, business groups can help connect women on a more personal level.
Pamela Ryckman, author of Stiletto Network: Inside the Women’s Power Circles That Are Changing the Face of Business explains what makes these (often small) groups so effective is that sense of trust. Often, business groups consist of people who are personally invited to the group. So, each person in the group is connected through someone they know, and no one is a stranger. Business groups are based on trust and friendship. They are also based on shared experience and ethics. We recently interviewed author Pamela Ryckman for an episode of the herBusiness podcast, where she explains why women’s business groups are growing so quickly both nationwide and globally.
