Doormat aficionado and owner of Adoremat, Rachael MacLaren, has spoken candidly to ConnectPink about her success as a regional businesswoman and where she plans to take her innovative business in the future. She reflects on the challenges of starting out, and shares an anecdote or two about her business ventures.
“When I threw the idea out to people some said ‘I wouldn’t pay money for that’ and others thought it was a fantastic idea… I just had this huge moment where I thought, ‘I’m just going to do it’.”
Located in the Coffs Coast, Rachael and her business supply plain doormats in 41 colours, as well as custom-designed requests from customers. She has also created a “nut-free zone” series for schools and is collaborating with a UK artist to have her image placed on mats!
