Taurus Marketing CEO, Sharon Williams was recently featured on page 3 of the Sydney Morning Herald, as well as ABC 702 radio. She has advised parents to counsel their teens, particularly during this school holiday about protecting their personal brand. Sharon warns of the long term consequences and risks of posting commentary and photos on social sites.
Sharon counselled, “When using these sites, tell your teen that, as they are typing they should imagine the local justice of the peace, their future boyfriend, the man they are going to marry, and the mother-in-law of the person they are going to marry plus their future employer for the job of their dreams are sitting on their shoulder watching as they type. Individuals need to take responsibility for their personal brand online.”
