Today HerBusiness announced a new partnership with the Australian Scholarships Foundation (ASF), the only Australian organisation solely focused on funding and facilitating scholarships for Australian not for profits (NFPs). The partnership will see HerBusiness contribute $20,000 in online training workshops and courses across important business subjects, delivered LIVE and on-demand to staff and management of not-for-profits. A recognised leader in online mentoring and training, HerBusiness joins a prestigious list of ASF partners, educators and training providers (including universities and colleges), to help not-for-profits increase their capacity through strengthened business skills. “Running a small not-for-profit requires some of the same skills and expertise as any small business, for example, negotiations, marketing, financial skills and even working with social media are essential skills when trying to produce results. “We are thrilled to work with ASF to provide scholarships for business training that can help make the every day running of a not-for-profit easier for the committed workforce whose work touches virtually everyone in Australia,” explained CEO, Suzi Dafnis.
Amy Lyden, CEO of ASF said, “I know the NFP sector will gain much from what the Australian Businesswomen’s Network has to offer including the very relevant ‘Social Media Crash Course.’ We are delighted that the ABN is generously providing these scholarships to NFPs and excited that people can access this important education regardless of their location.”
Scholarship applications will be facilitated through the Australian Scholarships Foundation website.
