Are you feeling a little adrift about what the next year looks like in your business?
I get it. It’s been a BIG year, and maybe not everything went to plan.
That’s why NOW is a great time to get a clear direction for your new year.
A well-defined 12-month vision provides direction for your business, inspires your team, and gives you clarity and focus about where to put your attention.
It becomes your north star.
And it brings down the pressure and the overwhelm.
That’s why we focus intensely on Vision and Planning inside the HerBusiness Network every year.
We recently gifted our members a planning day and thousands of dollars in Planning resources. (Here’s a pic from our Planning Day.)
Members have cast their vision for the next 12 months and put in place a plan so that by the end of 2024, they will have seen the transformation and growth that’s possible in their business.
Here’s what I like to consider when setting an annual vision.
- Craft It Collaboratively: While your vision is yours, working alongside other entrepreneurs in the vision crafting process is super helpful. Their insights can be invaluable, and they’ll be committed to supporting your vision. Who could you partner with to run a planning co-working session?
- Make It Resonate: Your vision should resonate emotionally for you. It’s not just about where the company is going but why it matters to YOU. What will achieving that vision make possible for you? How will your life be better as a result?
- Keep It Clear and Concise: A compelling vision is often simple yet impactful. It’s concise and singular. Avoid jargon; make it understandable for everyone – you’ll want to share it with your team, suppliers and other stakeholders so that they ‘get it’ immediately.
- Align with Core Values: Ensure your vision aligns with YOUR core values and those of your business. Your vision is for YOU, not for clients, staff, or suppliers, or for your competitors to approve of.
It is for you to feel inspired by and to feel clear and on track. So, make it a vision that pulls you forward.
There’s a great quote from Apple founder Steve Jobs that says:
“When you’re working on something you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision pulls you.”
That’s the type of vision I LOVE to help women create.
One that pulls them forward, even when there are setbacks and hurdles to overcome.
Yvonne has had a vision for growth…
“I had 500% growth.”
After year-on-year growth, the pandemic hit and Yvonne’s business was stopped in its tracks. Travel bans meant she had to cancel pre-booked adventures. With no quick resolution, Yvonne had to switch gears, pivoting to an online business model.
She dug deep into the resources inside HerBusiness. She used her knowledge and experience in community and adventure to create online experiences for thousands of women business owners and to create a MORE sustainable, MORE profitable seven-figure business.
“If I had not invested in my business education, I would still have a hobby. I have had a 5005 growth”
