Rising from tragedy is hard and different people have different ways to cope with it. Sue Henry had to go through the unimaginable struggle when her father was severely attacked in his home. It took 3 months for him to regain consciousness and a month after that, he passed away. She had every right to stay angry and grieve at her father’s attacker but in the end, she chose to forgive and allow the judicial system to handle it.
When she was not ready to open up to her friends and family, she kept a forgiveness journal to jot down all of the negative thoughts and feelings that she wanted to let out. The method helped her restore her personal peace which allowed her to heal from what happened to her and her family.
This became the premise of her business. She founded the “I Forgive You” Mobile App that works in the same manner as her forgiveness journal. The app allows you to express and let out all the any anger, sadness, grief and other emotions to make room for forgiveness and peace.
The app allows many options in receiving your notes: you can keep them, send them to a particular person via email or you can send it out to the “universe” where it will be gone right after adding it in the app. Aside from that, you receive words of encouragement every time you make an entry.
Aside from being a businesswoman, Sue is also a presenter, educator and mentor. She provides self-help resources in her podcast and ebooks that are available on her website. She also works on a mentoring program for people who want to develop a better view in life or for those who just want to laugh and smile more.
Sue joined HerBusiness for the great quality of resources in marketing and business building. She loves that members create meaningful connections, helping one another grow their businesses.
