Molly Lee had always yearned to become an entrepreneur and start her own business, but she was reluctant to make a drastic shift and move away from her stable corporate career.
Finally, she took a leap of faith and pushed herself to take on the challenge of being her own boss.
One of Molly’s greatest passions is collaborating and connecting with business owners. She loves listening to their stories and offering her own advice that will offer a positive impact. That’s what drove her to start her own consulting business, ACVISORY formerly know as RightWay.
“It gives me great satisfaction to see businesses survive, thrive, and grow.”
ACVISORY works with businesses to ensure that they are getting the performance that they want. They achieve this by providing insights and an accurate analysis of the business, advising the business on the proper tools to use to stay on top of their cash flow and forecasting, teaching them cash flow management, developing meaningful reports and offering assistance and advice on a variety of other topics.
Molly thoroughly enjoys the autonomy that the business has given her, and she appreciates the opportunity that it has provided to help her create more meaningful connections with others.
We asked Molly…
Who is your favourite entrepreneur, and why?
- Anita Roddick – how she founded and ran The Body Shop was brilliant. Her mindfulness in running a business is such an inspiration.
The advice Molly wishes she had when she started her business is…
- Take courage and be bold to make the changes.
- Invest in a proven market strategy.
- Trust your instincts to know what advice is really good for the business.
And the advice Molly would you give someone thinking about starting a business is…
- Be empowered – take up the challenge to start your business
- Connect with a start-up community – you will get a good dose of support and you won’t feel like you are all alone in your business
- Be aware of your skills gap – and be willing to seek help to get your business up and running
For Molly, these skills are essential for anyone wanting to build a successful business:
- Presentation – you will always be presenting and pitching what you do and sell.
- General finance – having a general view of your business financial goals will help you with the amount of decision-making you will undertake in your business.
- Self-reflection – I get a lot out of my self-reflection sessions. I find reflecting on past events really calms me down, particularly after a frenzied workweek. And it refreshes me to plan better for the future.
We asked Molly about the benefits she gets from her Premium Membership:
- I get a lot of marketing information from HerBusiness, and the webinars have certainly help me identify the client avatar in my business.
- I love the support in the Facebook group.
- I love Suzi’s words of encouragement in her emails and on Facebook!
