Meet Erica Webb – Member Podcaster
In her Mindful Movement podcast, Erica Webb explores ways movement, mindset and mindfulness support us to be and do the things we desire in the world.
What is the name of your podcast?
The Mindful Movement Podcast
When did you launch your podcast?
Today! Monday 6th April 2020
How would you best describe your podcast? What is the show about?
In this podcast I, along with my guests, explore what it means to move as an act of self-kindness and self-discovery. We look at the ways movement, mindset and mindfulness support us to be and do the things we so desire in the world. I truly believe that movement has the ability to expand our capacity to show up for the things that are important to us. And I’m here to help my listeners embrace the idea of movement as a powerful tool for wellness, rather than just another thing you think you should be doing.
“Jump in with both feet! It can feel a little overwhelming (to start a podcast), but just take one step after the other and go for it.”
Why did you decide to start a podcast?
Because I want to share the power of movement as a form of self-kindness, self-care and self-discovery. And I want to share the stories of how others use movement in their own lives (and not just movement professionals – anyone who uses movement to feel their best)
Tell us about your business…
Erica Webb of Erica Webb Yoga and Pilates uses mindful movement focused on kindness to help busy women shift from tense and disconnected to feeling more at ease and connected with their body. She does this through her online Mindful Movement Virtual Studio membership, as well as virtual and in-person consultations and workshops.
How does your podcast support your business activity? Or is it a separate, hobby project?
My podcast allows me to expand on the ideas underpin and inspire my teaching, as well as expanding my understanding of how movement influences others. It offers a platform for me to share in an authentic way, as though I’m having a chat with a friend. The podcast is also a way for me to offer value to my audience and to offer ideas and stories that might expand their perspective.
What advice would you offer women who are thinking about starting their own podcast?
Jump in with both feet! It can feel a little overwhelming, but just take one step after the other and go for it.
