HerBusiness member and certified wellness coach Jennifer Gale knows it can be difficult for women over 50 to find quality information about staying fit, healthy, and feeling good. Her business, Fit N Fifty Plus, is all about helping mature women stay well and motivated.
In 2015, Jennifer started a podcast, also called Fit N Fifty Plus, as another way to get her message out. The podcast aims to bring women as much high-quality, evidence-based information as possible. If you’re looking for simple strategies on how to stay well and the inspiration to actually implement them, Fit N Fifty Plus is the podcast for you.
Jennifer knows “it isn’t some fancy pill or drink or machine that will help you. It is plain old eating well, moving as much as possible, and paying attention to yourself.”
Within those three simple rules is a wealth of topics, from belly dancing to bike riding to whole foods, and Jennifer’s podcast gives access to experts in all of these and many more.
Jennifer’s podcast supports her business and it gives her a platform to keep in touch with her customer while expanding her own expertise. She’s the first to admit that taking on a podcast has been a lot of hard work, but it’s also a great deal of fun.
Thinking of starting a podcast to support your business? This is Jennifer’s advice:
Consistency is key, but finding consistent guests is probably the hardest task of all. Personalised invitations work better than automated emails when it comes to inviting guests, and perfecting the process of inviting a guest has made putting on a podcast much easier.
