I hosted my first webinar in late 2006. So, in some ways you could say that (at least for Australia) I’m a bit of a veteran when it comes to using web-based conferencing to deliver education and information. The Australian Businesswomen’s Network’s monthly webinars are attended by hundreds of women in business who choose to learn using this cost effective, energy saving, and time-saving medium. [Having run live events for 13 years, for more than 300,000 people, in three countries, I have a lot of experience and strong opinions about learning environments – and will share those in a future post… ] Valerie Khoo’s article From Stage to Many Screens was featured in the Sydney Morning Herald on 12 May. It looked at how small business can benefit from using webinars (web-based seminars) to connect with clients. I was invited to comment. The bottom line:
