Therese Goggin of Harbour Business Support says that her accounting journey began “aeons ago” in corporate Sydney, working in the accounting and payroll departments of multinational listed companies where she learned from the ground up all the ins and outs of very large business finances.
Therese completed an advanced diploma in accounting and worked as a tax accountant for several years before registering as a BAS Agent in 2010. During this time she learned much more about small to medium businesses and discovered that she can help clients more effectively by working closely with them to really take the pressure off the often stressful workload of business owners.
With over 15 years of being in business for herself Therese has had the privilege of working with a wide range of businesses and non-profit organisations across various industries in Australia. Therese has developed the flexibility to adapt to different needs and to use her knowledge and experience to provide practical and effective solutions. Therese’s business, Harbour Business Support, is a BAS Agent and Bookkeeping service delivering online BAS, Payroll and bookkeeping services and supporting business owners to take charge of their cash flow.
Therese has been a member of the HerBusiness Network for almost 12 months now, and has found that, in particular, the Business Strategy Meetings have given her the space and time to focus on things like niching her market. She has also joined a Growth Group where Therese and a small group of her fellow members can keep each other accountable between these meetings.
When not elbow-deep in client work you’ll find Therese outdoors rejuvenating her brain whilst bushwalking or exploring the countryside in her campervan.
