Love Your Legals was founded by Shalini Nandan-Singh, a lawyer and advocate of solo and small business owners creating beautiful enterprises on their terms. Shalini helps online consultants, coaches, therapists, and product-based business owners who struggle to get brand-connected meaningful, and legally robust service agreements and contracts for their businesses.
Shalini completed her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), Communication and Media Studies at The Queensland University of Technology. Her passion for helping small businesses comes from her personal experience in legal practice and small businesses in Fiji and Australia. She founded Love Your Legals (formerly Legally Shalini) in 2015 to support small businesses that face the same lean startup and business-building highs and lows that she did. Born in Fiji and raised in Australia, Shalini has lived and worked in both countries for her entire life.
Love Your Legals primary purpose is to help people see their legals as business power tools that support growth and connection with clients, suppliers, and communities. Shalini believes that business legals should be an authentic extension of their business, creating positive boundaries that support working with clients with compassion and understanding.
Shalini says that formal, confusing legal language should be a thing of the past. The whole point is to create tailored documents and discussions that make life simpler for business owners, and for their clients to understand how they can be supported.

Outside of her business, Shalini is an active member of the small business community, enjoying short breaks every three months and cooking Indian cuisine for family and friends. She loves island food and life, carries a pashmina, wears a lot of white, and loves the colour red. She’s the woman who enjoys eating at quirky little restaurants and drinks gin on ice with a splash of coconut water.
