“I love the excitement that comes with building something new, pouring your energy and focus into something that I both care deeply about and am great at!”
Rachel Hebbard of Offload Now understands how to bring iconic brands to life through stories, teamwork, and perseverance. She appreciates the value of teams, the impact of training and developing people, and the results that can be achieved when a group performs for each other.
Helping clients with their challenges and finding solutions has always been Rachel’s favourite part of her work. She loves thinking about the big picture and figuring out how to make plans happen. After two decades of learning in business, she wanted to create something of her own.
After talking to friends, she realised many business owners needed support but couldn’t always hire more staff. That’s when the idea for Offload Now came to her!
Rachel helps small business owners during periods of growth or to help them get an aspect of their business back on track. They provide a suite of services including project management, team management systems, and business planning. They provide solutions that are flexible to meet your goal and budget, working both online and in person to give owners back time to do more of what they love.
Rachel supports owners in their growth journey by getting clear on the tools, people, and systems they need to take that next step. Being a short-term extension of other people’s teams, Rachel works with business owners to identify their biggest pain points and opportunities and then gets on with helping them create a plan and get it moving.
When it comes to running her own business Rachel loves the excitement that comes with building something new, pouring her energy and focus into something that she both cares deeply about and is great at! She loves setting business goals to chase and having the flexibility to change and move as needed for both the business and her family.
Rachel says she is a generalist by nature which works well as a micropreneur, as she wears many hats every day. She’s always learning something new, and investing time into developing her skills and knowledge so she can better support her clients. She enjoys the variety and juggling that running your own business brings.
We asked Rachel a few business questions and here’s what she had to say:
What three pieces of advice do you wish you’d been given when you started?
- Just dive in – don’t waste any more time doubting yourself or listening to your internal fears. They are just stories that are slowing you down. Fear is a liar!
- Expect things to not go to plan, you’ll learn from the mistakes and miss-steps. It’s all part of finding the right path and solutions that work best for your business.
- Done is better than perfect ((Thanks Suzi & Michelle Falzon for that gem to help with my perfectionism!)
What advice would YOU give someone thinking about starting a business?
Trust yourself, women in particular doubt or underrate their abilities and value. If your business idea is something you are passionate about, then you’ll enjoy the process – no matter what happens along the way.
….and a growth mindset is essential in business!
Having delved into our latest book club book, 10x is Easier Than 2x, Rachel’s business vision and goals have shifted. Her ideal business, supporting other business owners, now envisions a larger team with specialised expertise. In her future ideal setup, she envisions delegating tasks to enable her more time to focus on new business ideas. Rachel is excited for the future.
Since working in her business and with a small team, Rachel needed to expand her network of business owners who are on a similar growth journey. The HerBusiness Network is a community that Rachel can tap into, learn from, and provide support to. She says it’s such a supportive and dynamic network of women.
Rachel’s two favourite entrepreneurs are Brene Brown and Simon Sinek. This is because they are both passionate and inspiring speakers, who have focused on their 20% and become known experts in their specific areas. Simon’s work has helped Rachel connect to her WHY and become a better leader, while she’s learned a lot from Brene and her research and stories centred on courage and empathy which greatly resonates with her.
