“I enjoy uplifting others and slowly becoming a better version of myself, so I become a role model for my daughters like my mum was for me.”
As a child, Masi Tsakanov of HERSELF HEALTH had a dream to become a paediatrician, helping sick kids so they wouldn’t suffer. But she realised that sometimes, children suffer due to well-intentioned actions. Masi found that people work hard to give them a better life, opportunities, and nice things, but all they really want is more of us – our attention, our eyes, and our ears.
The constant struggle to meet the competing demands at home and work can lead us to lose ourselves, becoming grumpy, irritable, and sad. Masi’s journey to becoming a better mother and role model began with her own mother’s example, who worked and raised four children on her own after her father’s sudden death. But as a busy working mum of two, Masi found herself constantly stressed and overwhelmed. So, she embarked on a mission to discover how she could be more kind and calm like her mom.
Through her journey, Masi discovered that she was not alone. Many women struggle with balancing family and career commitments, often neglecting their personal health and needs. That’s why Masi created Herself Health – to help women become more self-aware and ruthlessly prioritise self-care so they can be the best version of themselves.
At Herself Health, Masi coaches busy professional women in leadership to prioritise self-care and manage stress so they enjoy a healthy body, happy family, and career success through her online one-on-one Joy of Work-Life Flow Programme. HERSELF HEALTH programs give you the opportunity to be empowered to be the best version of yourself. Through a combination of ancient wisdom and modern science, applied to your unique experiences.
Masi says the HerBusiness Network has solved for her the problem of isolation. She says “It provides me with an opportunity to create connections and a support network of like-minded professionals.”
Not only does Masi run her business, she also enjoys running for fitness and does CrossFit as well. Masi says she feels like a lean, mean, business-ready fighting machine.
Who’s your favourite entrepreneur and why?
Eben Pagan – he is down to earth (authentic), intelligent, gives out his content abundantly, and makes the experience with him personal even when virtual, and he is a savvy online marketer, networker and businessman. He is quietly making millions by lifting others and his generosity.
