She holds a degree in psychology, accreditation in behavioural interviewing and psychometric testing, and is also a certified organisational coach.
Lauren helps growing businesses in the engineering, mining, and technical markets by saving them time, and money and relieving their stress around resourcing requirements.
She does this by bringing an experienced team of specialist recruiters together to partner with a select group of clients that share the same values they do.

In founding Karan & Co, she aimed beyond conventional recruitment, aspiring to create lasting partnerships with clients and deliver meaningful results through effective talent management. Lauren’s ‘people first’ approach, combined with authenticity and honesty, has fostered strong, repeat business relationships. Early in her career, she discovered her talent for recruitment and developed an award-winning method focused on understanding team needs and identifying well-matched individuals to elevate team impact.
Lauren is passionate about animal welfare and has volunteered with the Animal Welfare League for many years now, fostering and rehoming animals. Her property is also a wildlife release site to create new beginnings for orphaned native wildlife.
Lauren hosts “The Building Doors Podcast” where she sits down with industry experts, movement creators, and go-getters who all built doors to achieve the success, freedom, and meaning they enjoy in their lives today.
