Jovana’s journey into entrepreneurship began with her first business in wholesale and retail, specialising in importing and exporting. Realising the profitability of online retail, she implemented marketing and sales systems that allowed her to clear inventory efficiently and without the need for additional sales staff. Her newfound efficiency saved her valuable time, and also provided her the freedom to travel the world while successfully running her business.
Motivated by her own experience, Jovana started helping other business owners for free, assisting them in implementing customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing systems. She invested over $120k in mentoring from industry-leading tech experts to hone her expertise and provide the best guidance to her clients.
The joy of witnessing her clients’ transformation drives Jovana’s passion for running her own business. She takes pride in seeing their systems run seamlessly, without tech overwhelm. By simplifying their sales and marketing processes, her clients can grow their sales effortlessly and reignite their love for their businesses.
Reflecting on her entrepreneurial journey, Jovana shared with us three pieces of advice she wishes she had received when starting. First, she encourages entrepreneurs to overcome shyness and be bold in pursuing their goals. Secondly, she emphasised the importance of investing in education or finances early to set the business up for success. Finally, she advises entrepreneurs to seek help from day one, either by hiring assistance or building a reliable team of subcontractors.
For aspiring entrepreneurs, Jovana encourages business owners to embrace change and accept the uncertainty and chaos that come with starting a business. She believes that leaving her high-paying job was the best career decision she ever made, providing her with greater financial security through multiple income streams.
Jovana’s advice for those starting in business is for them to get acquainted with closing sales with confidence, learn how to manage risks, and make it easy for their customers to buy your services, by accepting multiple payment options.
