My earliest experience with Michael Gerber started about 2 years ago when I was recommended by a friend to read his book, The E-Myth. At that stage, I was a professional rugby league player with the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
However, I wanted to secure my life after football with the ambition of setting up my own business. I was told that the book would give me some idea of the step-by-step processes and boost the intention of setting up my own business. But, even after reading the book and finishing a small business management course at TAFE, I didn’t have a definite clue as to what ‘type’ of business I wanted to pursue.
Almost a year after I retired from playing professional football for 14 years, I reverted back to a career that I was previously involved in – printing.
Still ambitious with the idea of setting up my own business, I listened to the CD audio series of Michael Gerber’s E-Myth Seminar, which I purchased from Pow Wow Events. I found that Michael explained a common sense approach to building a successful life as well as a successful business. Shortly after listening to the CDs whilst driving, they acted as a catalyst for me to get started and sure enough – a great opportunity soon arose for me to start my own business in the printing industry!
A month into setting up the business, I revisited Michael’s CDs and put his step-by-step systems and recommendations into place. They have helped me work out the primary aim in life and to give my business model a 95% chance of survival. Michael’s program has highlighted what systems must be implemented to help plan a great future giving me the freedom to spend more time with my family and friends.
I certainly recommend his audio series to any person with the passion and aspiration of starting up their own business.
