“I recently read Become a Key Person of Influence by Daniel Priestly. This has influenced me enormously – so much so, that I am doing KPI this year and will be writing and launching my first book. There is a significant financial and time commitment as well. I am amazed at the impact that KPI is already having on my business and outlook already and I am only a month in. The network is extremely supportive and helpful and I have no doubt that this approach will help me increase my personal and Employee Matters’ profile ensuring that I become highly valued and highly paid in my industry.
I believe that ongoing learning is not just important but critical to succeed in business.
I have learnt so much over the past 2.5 years not least in understanding the breadth of topics as well as depth of topics required to be successful. As a business owner you need to know a little about a lot and have one particular subject matter area of expertise, for example, for me it is HR.
I have learnt more about marketing, social media, financials, blogging, writing and publishing books to name just a few. You could say I now know enough to be dangerous. But seriously, the world and opportunities that have opened up to me, not to mention the clients and powerful networks that are substantially a by-product of my further education experience. In this fast paced world, where the only constant is change I fear to ignore ongoing learning and self-education will be your peril.”
