When I left high school, everyone who was important to me was telling me to take a certain path…
My parents wanted me to go to keep studying so I could have a better life…
My friends were all choosing which university they’d go to…
Even my teachers were pointing me in that direction.
But I knew that wasn’t for me.
I knew I had to find my own path.
And, looking back, that all seems to make so much sense now.
But at the time… it took one heck of a big dose of courage and belief!
Going in the opposite direction of what your family wants for you…
… what your friends are doing…
… what might be expected of you…
It can feel like an equal dose of courage and fear all rolled into one!
