Last October I had the privilege of sharing a week in paradise on Hawaii’s Big Island with a group of amazing women from the HerBusiness community for our first ever REACH Retreat.
It was nothing short of amazing.
Truly, it was one of the highlights of my life to see these wonderful women show up in such a huge and real way. There were laughs, tears, insights, breakthroughs, incredible conversations, fantastic meals and, above all, there was GROWTH… I literally watched each of these women grow in such profound ways as they REACHED for what they really wanted… ways that have caused a ripple effect in their businesses, their families and their lives.
We had such a strong connection that we’ve all stayed in touch, some members of this photo even flying thousands of kilometres to get back together and see each other again. In fact, just a few weeks ago most of us met up in Sydney for a reunion, so special was our time together.
What I love most is that each woman in this photo gave herself the gift of SPACE… time and space to step out of the hustle and bustle of her business and her life to get refocused and recharged. For most of them it wasn’t easy. There were kids and businesses and finances to be arranged. And most of them told me their decision came with some trepidation – “do I dare give myself this gift?” But as I look at each of their gorgeous faces here I know with certainty that it was a gift that was SO worth it for them… the stories they’ve shared with me since of how these few days have continued to bear fruit in their businesses is evidence enough.
And a real confirmation that this kind of event is something we need to do more of… which is why we are doing the REACH Retreat AGAIN this year!
