In support of United Nations World Environment Day, the UNAA recognises outstanding environmental programs throughout Australia for the World Environment Day Awards. This award program honours individuals and organisations that exhibit outstanding environmental achievements.
This year, one of the winners of a World Environmental Day Business Award was an Australian Businesswomen’s Network Hall of Fame Inductee, Jacqueline Arias. Her company, República Coffee, won the Excellence in Overall Environmental Management Award for its environmental business practices and ethical mission. Businesses from all over Australia were nominated for this award from every industry. República Coffee was recognised for its effort in maintaining a sustainable future and their commitment to environmental business leadership. Jacqueline Arias’ mission for her company is to become the most ethical food company in Australia.
