Suzi Dafnis presented before an audience of over 500 small-business owners at the B-xponential one-day training in Sydney on 25 May.
As well as presenting a keynote address on confidence, Suzi addressed the group in an interactive panel on which Small Business Minister Kelly O’Dwyer also fielded questions from the audience about barriers to small-business success.
Speaking alongside Mark Bouris of Yellow Brick Road and The Apprentice Fame and Vision Personal Training franchisor, Andrew Simmons, Suzi shared the discover of over 18 years of data collected while interviewing women in the Australian Businesswomen’s Hall of Fame about how they stay focused and successful and confident.
“Making it in business is tough. What we found when we interviewed women in the Businesswomen’s Hall of Fame was that there ARE business owners who do find a way to break through and play a bigger game, keeping the magic alive in their businesses.
They embrace making decisions and are able to take advantage of opportunities that come their way – often seeing possibilities where others only see obstacles, and with a certain self-assurance that enables them to ‘feel the fear and do it anyway’,” said Suzi.
This is an important message for small business owners.
