Burnett Livestock & Realty’s Stephanie Whitaker has been awarded the 2011 Rural Press Mike Nixon Award. The Mike Nixon Award was instituted by Rural Press and the Australian Livestock and Property Agents Association (ALPA) in memory of Mike Nixon, a charismatic and highly respected Rural Press journalist. This is the first time the award has gone to a woman! The Award recognises people in the livestock agency business with less than ten years experience who excel in their field. The 2011 Mike Nixon Award focused on marketing excellence and Stephanie Whitaker has been named the national winner.
“I also see this as an opportunity to be an advocate for livestock and property agents and to show how we move with the industry. We utilise changing technology and ensure our clients stay abreast of industry news so they can make informed decisions about their businesses” Stephanie said.
Stephanie is Marketing Coordinator for Burnett Livestock & Realty, who also own and operate Biggenden Saleyards. As her prize, she has won a holiday to Canada and the Calgary Stampede in 2012.
