To celebrate a month of makeover madness, HerBusiness is giving away prizes as part of The Great Makeover Challenge. Over $2,500 in prizes is up for grabs. The competition asks women to nominate an area of business or life that they commit to make over during September. The first-prize winner will receive a Napoleon Perdis Corporate Workshop for six people, valued at $150 per person. There are also five runners-up prizes of corporate makeover packs up for grabs, each valued at $250. To enter, simply tell us, in 50 words or less, what area of your business you are going to make over and why. “We’ve been inspired by the commitments women are making to make over aspects of their business and their life. We encourage you to tackle a project you have, perhaps, been procrastinating about, whether it’s getting that new website, or clearing the clutter out of your home office,” said Suzi Dafnis, CEO of HerBusiness. Here are just a few of the inspiring entries so far:
“I will make the sea change I’ve been dreaming of that will give me the new lease on life and ‘spark’ that has slowly flickered out.” — Susie Faulkner, Exact Editing.
“I’m very excited as I’m designing a new website, which will be viewable on iphone/ipad devices. No more flash!” — Mish Koh, Mish Koh Photography.
“During September, I’ll be taking on Michelle Bridges’ mantra ‘Just Freakin’ Do It’ (JFDI) and applying it to business, instead of exercise! While big-picture thinking is good, sometimes I need to stop planning and JFDI. So I’ve decided to set time aside for planning each week and make sure my action list is the focus of my day.” — Sarah Morton, Sarah Marie Communications.
Entries close on 30 September. Visit the HerBusiness website to enter The Great Makeover Challenge. The competition prizes are thanks to our partner during Business Makeover Month, Napoleon Perdis.
