Ever cringed in disappointment when recollecting your answers to interview questions? Finding it hard to talk about yourself without waffling on?
Introducing myPitch: A new app designed to help you sell yourself in 30 seconds or less during job interviews!
Australian Businesswomen’s Network Member and Founder of Career Ignition, Susan Wareham McGrath, teamed up with experienced interview and career coaches Karalyn Brown and Deborah Barit, launching an iTunes app for smart phones to help people rehearse their interview through video. myPitch was recently featured in BRW online, and has been now featured in numerous publications.
The app sells for 99 cents on iTunes and allows users to film and share their pitch, answering a range of questions that potentially stump candidates including:
- “Tell me about yourself?”
- “So, what do you do?”
- “What are your strengths and weaknesses?”
Susan and the team found that “a disproportionate number of our clients dreaded the question, ‘tell me about yourself?’ and fumbled for answers to the question, ‘so what do you do?’” The app therefore enables users to write their own pitch and share it amongst friends, family and social media platforms, and refer back to it in the app’s galley for refreshers on your way to an interview or networking event. After a year spent researching, testing and filming, myPitch is now live as an iPhone app, and an android app is in the works. With its easy to use instructions, sample answers and connection with social media platforms, this is a tool that will help any candidate strengthen their interview skills and leave a lasting impression on potential employers in as less time as 30 seconds. Download myPitch from the iTunes store today, and say goodbye to awkward interviews.
