Johanna Baker-Dowdell’s Strawberry Communications is a PR and Writing company of that provides communications services to bring publicity to businesses. These services range from media releases and liaison, editing, blogging, social media, case studies and newsletters. Johanna Baker-Dowdell has over 16 years experience as a journalist and PR consultant, which she combines with her vast business knowledge as an entrepreneur and through work experience.
Meet the furry family…
Although Johanna is the only human working in the office, we make sure she is never alone. I’m Stanley, her ginger tabby cat. I’m 6 years old and rule the house (well I rule the furs). Charlie is also a tabby cat but he is a caramel colour and a bit younger than me. He is also more timid and loves cuddling up to Johanna’s lap for comfort at night. Together, we can be a bit cheeky and sleep on the chair reserved for visitors in the office. We like relaxing but Ari, a white and ginger cat, is two years old and still very adventurous. We don’t see him as much because he likes to drop in and out, going on adventures to the surrounding homes and talking to the neighbours.
Besides us cats, our furry family is also made up of Bastile, a cross Labrador/staffy/kelpie. He is almost 6 months old and is big (and getting bigger). He always wants to play and always gets to Jo’s bin to eat her leftovers before we can. Then there is Rosie, a black chicken who is almost a year old. As the latest addition (and the only girl), she often steals the attention from us when she lays an egg or is hungry (possibly thanks to Bas who ate 11 cupcake cheesecakes made by Jo and her business partner Suse who then had to remake them!).
Together we keep Jo entertained, whether it is by stealing her chair when she gets up (my personal favourite) or by playing with her papers on the floor that she hasn’t yet filed away. Ari likes to drap himself around her neck while she types, just to remind her that she is not alone. Our daily antics provide some great content to share on social media!
