Hustle in the Urban dictionary is described as “the art of getting people to hand over their credit card details” & “anything you need to do to make money, be it selling cars, drugs or your body.” Other dictionaries describe it as “fraud or a swindle.”
Maybe I’m just an old-school country girl, even naive, but in business when people have told me what their product or service does and what I can expect for my money, I have believed them. Only on occasion to find out they took quite a large mortgage out on poetic license & delivered a mere fraction on what was promised, if at all! (I.e.; They grossly over promised & under delivered.) This in turn has left me largely out of pocket.
Ah yes, welcome to the world of business some may snigger! But I dare to dream and suggest; does it really need to be like this? Is it possible to change culture? A tall ask perhaps, but permit me to enlighten your senses….
The vast majority of this world are taught from cradle to the grave to get the best deal for ourselves, squeezing the other party for every last drop. Real estate is a classic example. There are dozens of workshops on strategies to buy property from distressed sellers in order to get amazing deals for yourself.
Have we stopped to consider what will happen to the distressed sellers? Will we force them into bankruptcy? Will their marriage and family break up due to massive financial stress? Will we force a single mum and children on to the streets? Do we really want to be socially responsible for this trauma inflicted on fellow human beings? What if it was you on the receiving end of the stick?
“Well If I don’t do that deal someone else will, so it may as well be me who makes the profit,” the cynic responds. I humbly object & suggest a much better way, a win/win scenario where All Shall Prosper; the “ASP” way. A change of culture to become socially aware and responsible for our fellow-humans and planet!
When we create business deals that prosper both parties we create people of means. This in turn allows them to trade with us again generating prosperity on both sides. The alternative winner / loser scenario leads to unfunded liabilities, poverty, family breakdown, homelessness and suicide at its worst. This unfortunately is not an exaggeration; it is the very society we live in today.
If we stick our heads in the sand or leave it up to someone else to sort out, we are contributing to the culture of greed and apathy. This will leave an insurmountable mess for our children and future generations to deal with in the form of taxes, corruption, greed, poverty, fear and anarchy.
We MUST change culture! Join the ASP Movement today, learn the strategies creating multimillion dollar profits for businesses around the globe trading this way. It’s FREE and you will be part of a global change for good!
