The wine industry’s most prominent publication Grapegrower & Winemaker has acknowledged its own Lisa McGuigan as one of seventeen inductees to the HerBusiness’s Hall of Fame this year. The article recites the Australian Bureau of Statistics finding that of the two million people in Australia who own or operate businesses, just 33% are women, aged between 35-44.
Regarding this, Suzi has stated that this does not “reflect the impact these businesses have on the country’s wealth.” Suzi explains it is the role of the program to ensure that “successful women are given a stage and honoured for their contribution to the economy and the business community.”
