To celebrate International Women’s Day, Business Insider interviewed many successful businesswomen about what everyone in business should know. Four of those women were ones that HerBusiness recently inducted into the Businesswomen’s Hall of Fame.
Jodie Fox, Co-founder of Shoes of Prey, said that women have come a long way, but have much more to do to break the glass ceiling. She is thankful for the incredible women who have gone before her to make the journey a little easier, and hopes to do that for the next generation.
Jane Lu, Ceo and founder of Showpo, found 10 years ago that there were hardly any women in business to connect with. Now she has started a group called “Like Minded Bitches Drinking Wine” to make it easier for businesswomen to network with each other.
Kim Liddell, founder of Non Destructive Excavations Australia, cited the Businesswomen’s Hall of Fame as a way people are shining the light on women in business. She said her experience with HerBusiness has been invaluable to her journey as a businesswoman.
Mary Retallack, MD of Retallack Viticulture, has seen the wine industry open its doors to women and start to change. She says the key to successful leadership is compassion, kindness and generosity.
