Sometimes you have to break down to have the pieces to build yourself up again.
During one of many ‘eat, pray, love’ moments, Anne Aleckson had a spiritual awakening experience. At her most vulnerable moment, Anne was given the answer to the question she’d been asking for years ‘what am I here to do?’.
Since then, Anne followed her strong compulsion to work serving the self-empowerment and spiritual needs of others and started her eponymous business “Anne Aleckson – Giving voice to the power within”.
Anne believes that “life IS supposed to be easy” and that your soul will lead you exactly where you have been TRYING to go, the journey along your purpose path.
Anne’s favourite entrepreneur
“I’m inspired by so many entrepreneurs and right now I’m loving following Stu McLaren of Tribe for his expertise on memberships and of course Suzi Dafnis of HerBusiness who is inspiring me to take my business to the next level through getting my business more grounded and solid.”
What Anne enjoys most about running her own business
“The freedom to be creative when the inspiration is flowing because I get to set my own hours and I am filled with the frequency of unconditional love when channelling and that is my bliss.”
Three pieces of advice Anne wished she’d been given when she started
- Get over yourself (and get on with sharing your value etc.)
- Learn how to be financially savvy when it comes to your business, income and investments.
- Do due diligence instead of believing the marketing when it comes to hiring coaches and mentors.
Skills and knowledge areas Anne recommends those starting out in business get acquainted with quickly
“Financial skills and money management, especially “cashflow”. Marketing starting with your why, your who, your what, the how and where.”
Anne’s advice to someone thinking about starting a business
“I’d advise anyone thinking about starting a business to hire a good mentor, join an active and supportive business network, learn as much as you can about the business of business, do the mindset or energy work to remove any blocks to success, start sharing and testing and finding the perfect offer for your ideal client and then jump in the deep end and get your first client, then get another and keep going while continually testing and measuring and refining as you use your network for guidance, support and community.”
Anne on what her IDEAL business would look like
“My ideal business involves serving my membership of hundreds for the first 3 weeks of every month… then taking the last week of each month off to future plan and have ‘me’ time.
My days are spent much as they are now serving members and private clients from late morning after at least 3 hours of meditation and connection /communication time and inner work as well as listening to or reading personal development and business podcasts and books etc.
I would regularly be travelling in Australia and overseas as a guest speaker for spiritual and personal development events, either my own or as a guest speaker. When not travelling I’d be sharing my wisdom and knowledge on podcasts, online tv shows etc.”
Anne on being a HerBusiness Network Member:
“HerBusiness gives me the opportunity to reach out to others who are also business savvy for guidance, support and community. It solves the problem of feeling alone in my business.”
