Founder and General Manager of Galmatic, Eleni Mitakos, was recently featured in a interview with Montana-based life coach Sally Hope, discussing how to turn a hobby into a life changing business with a mission. She says the best piece of advice she’s recieved over the years is from Carman’s founder Carolyn Cresswell:
“Don’t pretend to be a size that you’re not.”
This advice means if you have an idea for a business, also have a strong vision of where you want your business to go. By being great at what you do and having a great product, it will make it easier to align your business with larger companies. It is this method that Eleni owes her successes to. Eleni also explains that the positive thinking mantra “if you believe in it, it will happen” is great, but it doesn’t provide an individual with precise action steps, which she believes are extremely important for those just starting out.
“It’s always good to step out and come back in with fresh eyes and ask yourself, what am I trying to do? And always having action steps to get there.”

Her expertise in corporate training, writing and public speaking sees Eleni happily sharing her knowledge of cars with women, with the goal of introducing women to the enjoyment of owning a car and being “road savvy.” Learn more about Eleni, here.
