The Australian Businesswomen’s Network has announced its 2013 MentorNet Small Business Mentoring Program dates and curriculum. Updated and re-engineered for 2013, the award-winning national program combines small business training with group mentoring. The 2013 program starts on 25 September. Participants, who can be located anywhere in Australia and who participate from their desks, are put through a three-month online business school and take part in group mentoring sessions with business experts. The course is designed to provide fundamental business training that leads to the creation of a business plan that business owners can implement to grow their business.
Hundreds of businesswomen have participated in the small business mentoring program, which was launched in 2007 as a program for women in business.
The 2013 program is open to male business owners as well and incorporates online learning methodology and collaboration tools that make it easy for business owners to fit the program into their busy schedules. Participants can attend LIVE (Wednesday mornings) or in a home-study fashion, accessing all session recordings, handouts and resource materials via a private website.
“The ABN has run mentoring programs for 15 years, continually re-engineering and redeveloping the content to meet changing business needs. The 2013 program will bring together what we’ve discovered works best for an online learning environment, ensuring that business owners get the essential business skills, access to role models, peers and experts and receive training in the tools that can all them to grow their business quickly and easily,” explained Suzi Dafnis, CEO of the Australian Businesswomen’s Network.
Because different levels of mentoring are required depending on your business size, goals and stage, business owners can add on one-on-one mentoring in 4, 8 or 12 sessions (and more if they wish). Mentors are all experienced business owners with expertise and connections in relevant areas of business and industries. Registrations are now open and details can be found on the Australian Businesswomen’s Network website along with stories from previous attendees and early bird and member discounts.
