Snapchat is fast becoming a platform for large companies to engage with audiences, especially in the 18-35 years age group. People in this age group are also spending a lot more time on Snapchat than other social media platforms, including Instagram.
In this episode of the Social Media for Small Business podcast, Suzi Dafnis and Cat Matson interview Jo Scard, the founder and principal of Fifty Acres with over 20 years’ experience in communications, about how small businesses can use Snapchat to reach their audience.
Jo says Snapchat videos can be a useful storytelling tool to focus attention on what your business is doing, including preparations for an upcoming event or launch for your business. Using Snapchat for your business requires commitment to grow it as a platform and recognising whether it is suitable for you based on the demographics of your clients.
