Google has changed its algorithm and, whether you like it or not, this change could affect the traffic to your website.
In this podcast, Suzi Dafnis and Cat Matson interview Simon Phillips, Digital Marketing Manager of Web123, who has over 20 years of experience in the digital space. Simon explains the advantages of having a website that is optimised for mobile devices and the most important elements of a mobile-friendly site.
According to Simon, the most important elements of a mobile-friendly website are:
- Usability
- Navigation
- Call-to-action features
- Simplicity of being found
- Presence of clickable phone numbers
- Capacity to increase engagement, e.g., having links to social media platforms
In the interview, Simon also emphasises the fundamental building block of an effective digital solution is having “a really solid build.”
“Having a good (website) builder is really good for people but also really good for search engines. And that’s about having key information — what you are, what it is you do, what your products and services are — and just really being authentic about that,” he says.
