2015 Businesswomen’s Hall of Fame inductee Cathie Reid shares her personal secrets to success and what’s guided her along this path as a female entrepreneur in this herBusiness podcast episode.
Cathie is a managing partner of her business Epic Pharmacy Group, a leading major pharmacy service provider. Epic Pharmacy Group provides specialised pharmacy services to private hospitals, cancer care and residential age care sectors. Cathie is passionate about providing quality healthcare services and has worked in the healthcare sector ever since the age of 16.
Cathie is also a self-proclaimed “tech geek” and loves using new technology to get her business ahead. She was one of only a handful of Australians invited to the Google Glass explorer program and says she loves exploring and discovering wearable technology.
Cathie’s advice to fellow businesswomen is to realise that you can’t do everything yourself. She highlights the importance of hiring smart and productive people who can do the tasks you don’t have time for just as well or better than you. Cathie was forced to learn and practice this concept right away as Epic Pharmacy Group started out when they bought four pharmacies in three states in just three months.
