In a herBusiness interview, Founder and CEO of Luxury Market Branding, Lauren Maillian Bias discusses her new book The Path Redefined. Lauren talks about starting her first business, what she’s learned about being a business owner, and getting to the top on her own terms.

Lauren introduces the concepts of uniqueness and serendipity by design. Namely, she suggests that people should “harness their differences and uniqueness in a way that can really make them successful and fulfilled.”

She claims that difference is what can make people and businesses stand out from the crowd. Lauren refers to serendipity by design as keeping the right people in your network that is filtered by values. Creating a meaningful network is key to success, “don’t force networking and be real and genuine,” she says.

Lauren discusses four additional facets that have been integral to her success: :

  1. A continuous analysis of decisions made and not made
  2. Networking and creating opportunities
  3. Constantly investing in personal development
  4. Define success by your own personal happiness

Listen to this herBusiness interview with Lauren Maillian Bas to learn:

  • Valuable insights into business by a successful business owner, founder, CEO and Empact100 Award Honoree
  • How to filter your network by values and create opportunities for yourself
  • How to invest in your personal development through the concept of permanent beta
  • Understand the value of uniqueness and serendipity by design

Lauren maintains that The Path Redefined highlights the need for people to set their own goals and motivation. “Everyone should be confident in the decisions that they make and what they consider the important parts of their life to be,” she says.
