 – Meant for More, with Lisa Sasevich

What’s one thing that people always pick your brain about?

Something that you love doing, that you’re really good at and that you just can’t stop helping others with?

This is your unique value.

It’s the gift, the talent and the knowledge that you can use to make a difference in the lives of others. And, you can turn it into a business that makes money without needing to be pushy or salesy.

For so many women, the thought of pursuing sales can be so overwhelming that they don’t make that leap. You don’t ask for the sale, or you bungle the opportunity sometimes undervaluing what you do, or not making a compelling offer.

But instead of pursuing sales, what if I told you that you could invite pursuit?

You can package up your expertise, the thing you’re really known for, and turn it into a profitable business that you love.

Listen to this episode to hear Lisa talk about:

  • Making your offer irresistible
  • The formula for getting past perfection
  • Two simple exercises for uncovering your “Million-Dollar Value”
  • How living an inspired life can accelerate your growth
  • Why organised knowledge is critical to scaling your business
  • Why making peace with sales and learning to invite pursuit is how you can get more out into the world in a much bigger way

About the host

Suzi Dafnis

Hi there. I’m Suzi Dafnis, CEO at HerBusiness. My BIG passion is helping women business owners to grow and scale their business, so that they can create their ideal lifestyle and make a difference in the world. Every day I am inspired by the more than 30,000 amazing women (and men!) in our community and I love finding the best education, mentors, and resources from around the globe, to help them get the skills, knowledge, and support they need to succeed. It’s been my privilege to lead HerBusiness (formerly The Australian Businesswomen’s Network) for the past 23 years (two+ decades – WOW!) because, whilst I’ve enjoyed success in business, I’ve also experienced the highs and the lows – sometimes you can feel on top of the world and in control and other times you can feel isolated, exhausted and stuck. What has made the biggest difference for me has always been having great people around me and having a lifelong commitment to learning. That’s why I am so passionate about the work we do here at HerBusiness – providing a Connection Network for women in business to get the mentors, contacts, referrals, knowledge, and skills they need to grow their confidence, make more money, build their businesses, expand their network and create the lives they love. My entrepreneurial journey started in the spare room of my Sydney apartment in 1994 when my business partner and I started a boutique events company that represented speakers and authors from the USA, here in Australia. Over the years I’ve grown multiple multi-million dollar businesses in the events, publishing and education niches – with teams in Australia, New Zealand, and the USA. Not everything has worked and there has been a degree of trial and error, and a lot of bumps in the road. But I have always had a strong commitment to always surrounding myself with great mentors and like-minded peers – a Connection Network that I can depend on and who can depend on me to be there for them too. I truly do what I love, every day.

Lisa Sasevich

After helping corporate giants like Pfizer and Hewlett-Packard generate millions in sales and small personal development companies quickly grow their annual revenue from six to seven figures, Lisa Sasevich was fired from her dream job the night before Christmas Eve. With a husband in medical school and two toddlers at home, it was devastating. After some soul-searching, the “Queen of Sales Conversion” decided it was time to parlay her talents into her own profits—and to help others do the same. She started a home-based business with nothing more than her phone, her laptop, and the stolen hours of the night after her kids were tucked into bed. A few short years and over $40 million in sales later, Lisa has helped over 15,000 clients in 134 countries earn more by doing what they love, all without being pushy or sales-y. Lisa’s company, The Invisible CloseTM, has been honoured to be in the Inc. 500 and named one of Inc. magazine’s fastest-growing privately held companies two years in a row, (#20 in women-owned businesses). Her mission: To help people make the difference they know they were put here to make and to make great money doing it. Lisa lives in San Diego, where she loves seeing her now-teenage son Elijah and daughter Sierra enjoy new, life-expanding experiences (as long as she picks them out and closely supervises).
