Kate vanderVoort originally trained as a social worker, but quickly figured out that she had a mind and passion for strategy and development. This thirst for finding a better, more effective, more impactful way of connecting people to the things they care about, led her to senior leadership roles within the not-for-profit sector.

Kate has been CEO of Discovery Australia, General Manager of the Quest for Life Foundation and Chair of the goodcompany Board. In 2009, she founded a thriving social media company, Social Mediology, specialising in social media coaching, training, strategy and management for business and not-for-profits.

Kate has trained with some of the best social media strategists and technicians in the USA and speaks regularly at conferences, events and in-house training sessions. She is Australia’s leading social media coach and has worked with many businesses and charities in Australia on strategy, implementation, campaign development and skills based training.

Kate lives in Sydney with her pet rabbit Heff.
