About Me - My Biography
A midlife change of career from health journalist finds me busy building my business as a nutritionist.
My two main areas of work are children’s nutrition and feeding, and weight loss without willpower. As well as private consultations, I now deliver workshops in primary schools, to both children and parents.
I’ve also completed training as a wellness coach, which better equips me to help clients with behaviour change. After all, we often know what to do to improve our health, but it’s taking the steps to do it that we find so difficult. I also continue to write in the health and nutrition field for the newsletter Well at Work, which is distributed to workplaces around Australia.
Fussy eating in children. Wellness coaching. Nutrition consulting. Healthy eating seminars. Nutrition and wellness writing.
Food – preparing it, eating it, seeing others enjoy it. Avoiding food fads. Loving all food, healthy or not.
Learning, reading, researching, seeing friends, staying positive, cosy nights in, fun nights out.
New developments in nutrition particularly the burgeoning research area of food and mental health, the dangers of dieting, fussy eating in children, weight management in children.
Cooking – all food, particularly Indian and Moroccan, and chocolate.
