My Connection Statement

I help otherwise empowered women who are facing a conflict to take control of the outcome themselves, without spending tens of thousands of dollars on legal fees, by helping them know where to start and guiding them to finding the resources they need. I do this through my Legally Wise Women online hub, where I have Where to Start Kits, courses on Finding and Hiring the Right Person, How to Negotiate for What you Want, and online Q&As with me.

About Me - My Biography

Since establishing TBA Law in 2012, in Central Victoria, Jacqui Brauman has become an Accredited Specialist in Wills and Estates and has written and published three books: ‘In Case of Emergency’, a practical guide for young families in the case of injury or death,  ‘Death and Social Media, a guide to your digital estate planning’, and ‘The Sandwich Generation’. Her passion is the prevention of a legal battle, and healing a conflict via an alternative pathway if it does arise.

Jacqui has since founded a social enterprise, Legally Wise Women, which is an access to justice project for women. It is a safe landing space for women considering how to resolve a legal issue, and wanting an alternative to a traditional litigation pathway.

She has a Bachelor of  Laws, Bachelor of Accounting, Advanced Diploma in Taxation Law, Graduate Certificate in Applied Law (In House), and an Applied Masters in Law majoring in Wills and Estates. Jacqui is a Law Institute Accredited Specialist in Wills and Estates, an NMAS accredited mediator, and a trained collaborative practitioner.

TBA Law has won a number of industry awards, including the 2017 NAB Professional Services Award for the Best Legal Firm for Private Clients in Victoria, and National Runner-Up. Jacqui herself won the Law Institute’s Regional Practitioner of the Year in 2019. She is on the board of THE Rural Woman Cooperative, and on the Victorian Association for Collaborative Practitioners committee.
