Entrepreneur, modern mum, food lover and former ‘bikkie baker’ (Luken & May), Cindy is creating her next business (think beauty & food) to meet her personal needs. She very bravely and honestly is sharing the startup biz experience online… why?

Luk beautifood is Cindy’s new adventure. As she explains on her website:

luk beautifood – skin delicious makeup was created from the passion and courage of those dreams and knowledge. Cindy has taken this magic ingredient, food, and created a small range of lipsticks from the good foods that we should be eating!

Not only does her range provide the lips with a daily dose of essential nutrients to nourish, hydrate and illuminate, but customers can feel good knowing that they are supporting the body’s natural processes to deliver beautiful results!

Cindy Luken has an Honorary M.S. (Newcastle Uni), over 20 export, entrepreneur and business awards including 19th & 29th spot in BRW’s Fast 100.

In 2012 Cindy launched her second startup business Luk Beautifood ‘be delicious inside and out’ by harnessing the health and beauty in food with a range of edible lipsticks. Her beauty kitchen provides the ultimate recipe for beauty wellbeing and low stress living. She works 20hrs per week and lives the life she loves!

The Table of Fabulousness, is a (non profit) venture, a home boardroom lunch for startup and early stage business owners to build a private support & friendship group for like-minded.

Strategies for Success

  1. Enjoy what you do, be passionate – This gives you ‘life’s buzz’ and the will to do anything and inspire everyone!
  2. Have a vision and don’t be afraid of being audacious – Your personal vision keeps you going when the pressure is on and your work vision is fundamental to guide your team to success.
  3. If you don’t make bold moves you’ll never make huge gains!
  4. WOW! – Have it in everything you do.
  5. Stand out from the crowd, not by being loud but by doing what others wished they had thought of first.
