What outcomes can you expect from your mentoring sessions?
When you start your mentoring relationship, you will set your personal goals for mentoring. But here are some things that our mentors have helped others with:
- Solidify your vision, mission and goals
- Determine your ideal customer and how to cater to them
- Discover new ways to market your products and services, generate leads and convert them into sales
- Establish a budget and understand how (and if) you are profiting and moving ahead financially
- Establish a strategy to leverage your small business through new and innovative technology
- Define a growth plan for the next 12 months
- Explore how to manage virtual staff and employees and how to have them perform at their peak or
- Develop a business plan, operations plan and financial plan
Am I eligible for one-on-one mentoring?
Mentoring is currently available to those who have been in their own business a minimum of six months. Unfortunately, our mentoring services will not suit employees looking to start a business or others that are planning to start, but haven’t yet started.
How many mentoring sessions do I need?
It’s totally up to you. We offer a minimum of four sessions (a number we have found will help you deal with specific areas of business and see you make some great gains). We recommend monthly or fortnightly sessions with a minimum of four sessions. After this time, and depending on your goals, you may wish to add more sessions. Each mentoring session is 1-hour in length and is conducted via Skype or telephone.
What happens when I book in for mentoring sessions?
Once you have booked your mentoring sessions (choosing from 4, 8 or 12 sessions) you will receive a call from our office to talk about your mentoring. You will be asked to fill out a short questionnaire that helps us match you with the best mentor for your business. (While you can nominate a mentor, we find it best to first determine what your goals are so that we can help match you with the mentor we know will help you reach your goals.)
Your first mentoring session
Once your first mentoring session is set, you’ll work with your mentor to determine the dates/times of follow up sessions. You’ll be on your way.
