My Connection Statement

My name is Tracey and I support my husband in our business called Davis Ogilvie (Aoraki) Ltd. We are based in the South Island of NZ and are a land, infrastructure and subdivision development consultancy.

At Davis Ogilvie, we provide property developers, Councils, landowners and businesses with a complete range of civil engineering, surveying and development planning services under one roof. This means we can fully maximise the potential of a project so our clients can add value, free up capital or better utilise their land. We do this through 1-1 consultations and tailoring our services to suit.

About Me - My Biography

Tracey supports her husband to lead an award winning team of land surveyors, civil engineers and resource management planners. She is an aspiring business leader who loves working every day to enable the company & people to achieve their full potential so they can deliver an exceptional service for their clients.  Tracey is “passionately curious” and has a thirst for knowledge and a desire to build a purpose driven business and life she loves.

Tracey has always had an “entrepreneurial spirit” and from a young age sold products and services to help her get through university and her early years of being a secondary school teacher. After noticing a decline in her health, running around after two young children while trying to hold down a full-time physical job something had to give. Being diagnosed with Celiac Disease she took a leap of faith and joined my husband in 2015 to support the business. With a diverse skill-set, deep desire for entrepreneurship and passion for people what gets her out of bed in the morning is knowing she is making a difference to the lives of her colleagues & clients by continuously striving for business excellence and building a high performance team. Tracey loves the together their team are creating better environments by design leaving behind the work that they do as a legacy for future generations to enjoy for years to come.

Tracey believes there are no secrets to success and business should be classed as a sport. Winning is the result of preparation, hard work, a high performance team and learning from failure.

I believe in surrounding yourself by people who elevate your thinking and encourage you to step outside your comfort zone will help you achieve the unthinkable.

My Interests

My interests include health and well-being; CrossFit, snow skiing, reading and spending time in nature with my family.

How I Can Help Other Members

I love contributing in round-tables and goals group sessions by helping other members come up with solutions to overcome their challenges. I find it so interesting that it doesn’t matter what business you have many of us face the same obstacles!

Why I Became a HerBusiness Member

I loved the concept of the Business Growth Zones. As a Business Services Manager I spend most of my days working on these zones to continuously improve our company. It is so nice to get up-to date, “top-notch” support and guidance from like-minded individuals who are striving for business excellence.
