I help new and busy Spaniel owners support the health and long-term wellbeing of their loveable Spaniels, by sourcing and supplying breed-specific products – from bowls to beds and everything in between – through my online store.

About Me - My Biography

I have spent most of my career in B2B marketing in the healthcare sector; mainly in the pharmaceutical and medical device areas.

While my original formal qualification is in Applied Science and Marketing, over the years, I’ve also explored many creative and personal interests; earning a Diploma in Colour and Design, Diploma of Agriculture, and a Certificate in Veterinary Nursing.

After many years of working for both large and start-up companies in senior roles, I decided to take a step back into contracting roles to create flexibility in my life to pursue my love of travel and sailing.

Two years ago, our plan was to spend 6 months sailing in Europe and 6 months in Australia, which we did for one glorious, adventurous year on our liveaboard catamaran. However, life had other plans and we are now in Australia for the near future. Still sailing, albeit in a more limited capacity.

This led us to buy a black Cocker Spaniel called Ben, who sails with us by the way. He rekindled my love of Cocker Spaniels and dogs in general. He was the inspiration for launching my own online business in the pet care industry, specifically catering to Spaniel owners and their pets.

Ensuring people have the best possible products for their Spaniels. There’s so much confusing information on the internet about pet care and pet products, and one size does not fit all.

Dogs are a very important part of many people’s lives, even more so since the pandemic.

Spaniels as a breed have their own special needs and issues; so being able to provide products and information for owners that are well researched, credible and help them enjoy the time with their pets is an important goal for me.

My Interests

I have so many varied interests, it’s hard to know where to start. I love learning new things.

Sailing and travelling have been a big part of my life since meeting my husband Scott. I have a website devoted to my sailing experience.  

Then there are many creative interests such as painting, drawing, weaving and writing.

And of course, there’s my dog, Ben.

I hope I can share my knowledge and expertise to support other small business owners. I’ve learned a lot through trial and error and setting things up on my own, so I’d be happy to share what I’ve discovered.

Why I Became a HerBusiness Member

While I have a business and corporate marketing background, I’m very new to e-commerce and B2C marketing. I need the help and support of other women in business to help refine my business offering and find my audience.
