About Me - My Biography

Rosemary Herceg co-founded Pophouse with the company’s Creative Director Tim Flattery in December 1996. The idea came from a passion to build a business that could provide both consulting on the new economy and become experienced in new economy business itself, by creating online revenues through e-business capability. It is this personal experience that allows Pophouse to consult to global organisations on new economy strategy.

Before launching Pophouse, Rosemary was New Media Director and Associate Board Member at Lowe Lintas – a global advertising agency. Previously, she was a strategic planner with Lowe Lintas in both the Sydney and New York offices. In 1992, after graduating from the University of Technology Sydney with a Bachelor of Communications degree, Rosemary started her career in advertising in the Lintas dispatch department in Sydney and became very good at changing light bulbs and fax-paper rolls. After being in the dispatch department for eight weeks, she landed a job in TV production, managing the in-house studio at Lintas and after seven months in that position, moved into the strategic department. After helping to win a Sunday newspaper account for the agency, her career as a strategic planner took off.

Rosemary’s first book, The Seven Myths and Seven Realities of Generation X, was released in Australia in December 1998. The book challenged the labeling of Gen X as apathetic and re-ignited the media debate about generational stereotypes. Rosemary was delighted to receive the Business Class Magazine Small Business Woman of the Year Award from Prime Minister John Howard in June 1999.

Rosemary is a regular columnist for BRW and Ad News and was recently appointed to the board of Sanity.com.
